Ultra Sound

I am currently 9 weeks 4 days pregnant. My doctor ordered an ultra sound which was done today. The man who administered the ultra sound said something that bothers me a little. He commented that the placenta was too close to or on top of my cervix and that it should not be that low. He mentioned that he would recommend another ultra sound later to ensure that it isn't still in the same position. What might happen if the placenta does not move from that position?
