Hysterectomy OptionsFrom: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 May 2001 13:52:00 -0500 (CDT)
I am 27 years old, and have had abnormal paps for 2 yrs now, ascus favoring mild dysplasia. I have had 3 colpos, biopsies and my OB did an endo curretage, all were negative. I just had my 2nd child, and am going for my 6 week check up which includes a pap, and I know it will come back abnormal again. I am through with having kids, my last delivery was traumatic due to placenta abruption, and my husband goes for a vasectomy on the 15th of June, so we are SURE we want no more kids!My question is, do I have the right to request a hysterectomy due to my history? I am a hypochondriac on medication, and cannot deal with the watch and wait approach.
