I am 35 years old and have been trying to start family for last year and half. I just had my first miscarrage at 7 weeks. Unfortunately, I am new to the area and have just started seeing my ob/gyn (twice prior to pregnancy for follicle study). He has been on vacation and I had cramping and bleeding yesterday, called the office and was seen by the doctor who is covering. He found a cyst on left ovary and nothing in my uterus. Took blood test, was told either miscarry, false pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy. He sent me home to call back for info this morning. This evening, assistant finally returned call to confirmed miscarrage (HCG count low) but couldn't provide info on what to do/expect, etc. She said doctor would call back with info. He did not call back is not on call. The other doctor on call has not returned my page. I am bleeding heavily (went through 16 maxi-pads) and still cramping. What do I do?!? Do I make another appointment!?!? Keep calling the office and beg them to call me back? Frustrated and scared. Please give me some direction on post-care, what to expect during this time, and can I return to work? Please help! Thanks, Holly
