Biopsy

Hi, Yesterday I went for another cervical biopsy, which is fine as I have had them many times before except this time he did a biopsy of my uterus. I don't recall him telling me why he was doing this, but then again it was the most painfull experience yet. I had all intentions of going back to work today, however I am having terrible pain & it is very hard to sit even for 5 mins. These cramps have made me double over! What is the recovery time for this? I'll be honest & say I will more than likely NEVER let them do that one again. Also, what are they normally looking for while doing that kind of biopsy? I have unexplained bleeding & pain. Thanks for all your help.
