Abnormal Uterine BleedingFrom: Deea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 May 2001 20:31:29 -0500 (CDT)
I am 35 and had my first and only pregnancy at 30 which my daughter was >delivered by c-section as she went breach two weeks before my due date. > >For 6 months I have been spotting one day after my normal period ends, the >spotting lasts 2 to 3 days. I went in for an vaginal ultrasound 3 weeks >ago, it showed thickening of the lining of the uterus. >Yesterday I had a hysteroscopy, my physician had a difficult time with >insertion and did a local with dilation. He stated that my cervix at the >entrance of my uterus was completely closed, although it does open during >my flow time. He found no polyps or fibroids, all that was found was scar >tissue. I have never had a D&C nor an abortion. This procedure was >extremly painful, my physician explained this was due to my cervix. Could >you offer any further advice as to the scar tissue and spotting. Thank >you for your response.
