I am 41, married, no children, and had a hysterectomy (uterus and cervix removed) due to fibroids in 12/98. I am one of the unfortunate few that has experienced a loss of sensation since the hysterectomy. I had previously thought that my orgasms were clitoral only but it has become obvious to me that either the uterus and/or cervix were also involved for me. There is a missing intensity and pleasurable contracting spasm that is no longer there without the uterus and cervix. I still have clitoral orgasms but they're just not anywhere as good or intense as they used to be overall when everything was intact. If sexual response is important to you, you don't want to take chances, and can go with the myomectomy instead, you might want to consider that. Hope this helps.
