Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: PCOS and IUD's" I was fairly recently diagnosed with PCOS (I seem to be in the mild end of the spectrum since I my cycles were always pretty regular and my excess hair growth is annoying but not extreem). I have been on the pill for almost 3 years now, and have been having problems with yeast infections. I am looking to get off the pill and possibly get an IUD, but I am concerned that there might be some complications due to the PCOS. Does anyone know if there IUD's pose an extra threat to women with PCOS?
