Gas and bloating and/or constipation(sometimes temporary, sometimes from
irritable bowel syndrome) can puff you up like a blowfish. From
personal experience, I can tell you it looks like a dramatic difference.
I have been congratulated on "pregnancy" more than once when I just had
a stomach episode! Have you talked to your family doctor to see if this
could be a digestive disturbance? Maybe s/he would also know more about
your insulin questions than your gyn? Laura
