Currently, I am having the normal discharge associated with the procedure. However, I am experiencing symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection. (it is very painful to urinate, a dull pinching-type pressure at the end of urination) I have had two other UTIs in the past year and they both felt the same way. My question is: Can the LEEP lead to or cause a UTI? Can the infection spread to the healing cervix after this type of procedure? Can the LEEP produce UTI-type symptoms like these? How important is it that I get this taken care of by a doctor? Thank you so much for your time and response!
