Ginger is a traditional remedy, so flat ginger ale may be more effective than Sprite. Regarding vitamins, have you considered using Flintstones chewables rather than taking pills? Better than nothing. Some people have used the acupressure bands. I didn't find them to be much help for morning sickness, although they were somewhat effective for seasickness for me. Keeping your blood sugar level up by eating regularly (I know, easier said than done) may help; your middle of the night problems may reflect dropping blood sugar levels. See also http://www.medscape.com/reuters/prof/2000/10/10.19/20001018clin010.html for information on a proposed link between a germ associated with stomach ulcers and morning sickness. That link might be worth discussing with your doctor. Please contact your prenatal care provider about your inability to take vitamins or get food down. Good luck!
