Doctor indifference

I have been pg twice with early (4-6) week miscarriages. 4 years after my last pregnancy and treatment I began spotting 15 days into my cycle. After 7 days I made an appointment with a doctor who confirmed a 2-3 week pregnancy. (no hcg level given) I asked about progestrone (as discussed w/fertility specialist) as a treatment for the bleeding but my doctor gave me the "it's natures way" line. The bleeding increased but there was no cramping or passage of tissue. Thinking I was miscarrying went to the ER. I asked the doc about progestrone to stop the bleeding. AFter consult w/ doc who doesn't believe in EVER using progestrone as an indicator or treatment I was sent home to wait. My HCG = 215.

I was referred and mentioned the progesterone again. Doc3 told me to come back in two days for another HCG and took blood to measure my level of progestrone and gave me suppositories. After two progestrone suppositories my bleeding stopped. Upon return I was told the progestrone level was 2.5 and the HCG remained the same therefore I had miscarried. I left and later called back for the HCG number.(HCG 297)He told me this level was extremely low (for 3 weeks???). I convinced him to do one more HCG in 48 hours but he refused progestrone.

Questions

1. Can slow HCG rises HCG early be normal?

2. Is it possible for the embryo to "slip out" with no dialation or cramping? (this was my dr's explanation)

3. How do I get my doctor to listen while I'm trying to explain my history and not give me the "nature's way" story? My pregnancy ended in the doctor's mind when he saw that number had not doubled. Is HCG that reliable?

Thanks for any help you can give.
