6 months pregnant and recurring Bacterial VaginosisFrom: Marcy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Mar 2001 19:00:27 -0600 (CST)
I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I'm on my third round of 7-day treatments for BV. For almost 4 weeks now I've been taking 750mg of Flagyl and it is still not clearing up. I've also had a yeast infection for the same amount of time. I'm high risk because of a previous cervical cone so my Dr. is watching my infection closely. Here's my questions: Could I possibly have this until delivery? Am I at an increased risk of preterm labor? I had no trouble with infections with my other 2 pregnancies, just don't understand why this one is a problem. Dr. doesn't seem real concerned. What's your opinion? Thanks.
