I've had a lot of problems with infections. I have ALWAYS been told to use a mild soap, such as Dove, when washing the vaginal area. Shampoos can be very harsh in this area, and can cause more problems. What is okay for your head, is not necessarily okay for the vaginal area...the tissues in the vaginal area are much more sensitive then your hair and scalp.
