Rectocele & Hemorrhoids..help!!From: bella (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 23 Mar 2001 19:42:27 -0600 (CST)
I had a vaginal hyst and bladder repair in January, and was told my rectocele was also being repaired at the same time. To my surprise, it became evident it wasn't, when my movements began getting trapped in the pocket again, and now I have very painful, burning internal hemorrhoids. I have read many posts to push gently on the back vaginal wall, but that doesn't work for me, the pocket seems to be more upwards than on the vaginal wall. It is so uncomfortable, feeling that I always have to void, and if I leave the fecal matter there, it burns. So I lubricate my finger and gently remove it. This is happening each time now, and was told by my gp it would be a different doctor to see for each problem. My question is what to have fixed first. It's like the egg and the chicken. If I have the rectocele fixed, the hemorrhoids might clear up on their own. Would like your opinion on this, and my gp is setting up an appointment with a general surgeon to have a consultation about my hemorrhoids. In pain and confused!! Thanks for your advise.
