uterus didelphysFrom: ashley (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Feb 2001 17:12:34 -0600 (CST)
I have a double cervix, uterus, and vagina. However, I am only 19, and I have terrible abdominal pain during intercourse, and gets even worse during my period. Even my period is a mystery of whether I am gong to have it each month. My doctor told me that I had uterus didelphys when he did surgery 2 years ago to control endrometrosis. The endrometrosis keeps on coming back, and I am having surgery every year to help the pain. I am out of ideas on what to do. I am only 19 and I cannot have a baby yet, b/c I would like to finish school first. My main concern is if I will be able to have a baby when I get older. The plan right now, is to keep it under control untill I am ready, and once I have my children ..we will take everything out. I need some advise on what to do. I feel like I am in a dead end, b/c my doctor is not helping me at all. I am going to see an reproductive endochronologist next month, but I am not sure if that is even the right thing to do. please respond when possible, Ashley
