Have been Wondering.From: Cecil (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Feb 2001 14:44:47 -0600
I was wondering, I had a hysterectomy Oct. 23,1999. It will be two years this Oct. I didnt get my ovaries taken out but the rest they removed. I had a sling put in my urethra, cuz they said it was kinked. I also had my rectum fixed. I have 5 children all the natural way and i guess everything was coming down, I could see my bladder when i looked up into my vagina. Sometimes when i would sneeze it would come down. When i had my periiod it would also come down more than usual. That is why I had a hysterectomy. Well i wanted to ask does a hysterectomy effect hair? I used to have beautiful thick hair. Now I have terrible thin hair, though everyone still thinks its nice my children noticed it also that it looks thin and shaggy looking. The texture is definately not the same. I am not on a hormone replacement. Is this suppose to happen? I had my thyroid checked also and i gained some weight along with this surgery. Is all this normal. My main concern is my hair. Thank you, Sandra
