1.If medoroxyprogesterone will give you some withdrawal bleeding, but what you see is not a period. And if the medication does not lead to a normal cycle, with ovulation followed by menstruation. In essence, if it just "puts on a show" of bleeding. Then it will not solve my ammenorhea. WHAT WILL? (just father time?)I understand that the medication can be useful to help rule out certain causes of amenorrhea. I was under the belief that that was established when my hormone tests came back "normal" and my thyroid test came back "normal." What other causes for post-pill ammenorhea are there? 3.Even though it is not going to solve my ammenorhea, should I risk the side-effects and just take it to prevent overgrowth of the uterine lining? If I took micronized progesterone instead of medroxy would the risk of side-effects be less? I may sound paranoid but I am very skeptical of drugs in general and their safety. I like to try natural and wholistic approaches first and drugs as a last resort. Thank you to anyone who replies. I'd ask my doctor but usually she rushes people in and out due to her busy schedule and I don't really have a chance to ask questions nor does she have much opportunity to explain in detail.
