yeast beastFrom: alli (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 Feb 2001 21:31:56 -0600 (CST)
I believe I have suffered yeast infections every several months for the past year. They go away after treatment, but come back after weeks or months. Is this chronic? I just had my annual in January, okay on everything, no VD, no yeast, no BV, no cancer. I've had over four HIV tests (for reassurance, not out of necessity). All tests negative, taken outside of the 6month window period. Actually, HIV tests were performed 8 years after my "messing-around-days." But, my Dr. checked my discharge because I complained about it being irritating. This is why she ran the VD tests. Anyway, I hear that women with recurrent yeast infections may be HIV positive. Should I test again?! Can women suffer from yeast infections without having a serious and deadly disorder? Can yeast infections occur after intercoarse? Sometimes it seems to correspond with intercoarse with my husband. Thanks for your time.
