Kristy,

Talk to the Dr. about this, not the person that deals with insurance. Only the Dr. will really know this.

I know you don't want to go to the Pain Management Dr., but your Dr. is only doing what is in your best interest, as well as hers. She has to protect herself as well as protect you. You have a great relationship with her, so trust her on this.

Unfortunately, even though you do not want to go, seems like this is the only way that she will feel comfortable Rx'ing the meds to you. Don't go, and she won't Rx what you want. So, if they help you and keep you relatively comfortable, go and see the Dr.
