Dr William van Almen,

Thank you so much for such a quick response. I am still spotting today and it has turned into a brownish mauve color very similar to what I experienced with the ectopic pregnancy in April 99. Is it possible that this is another ectopic pregnancy, just going by the type of spotting? What seems off about it to me is that it begun at 4 dpo and I am wondering if spotting from an ectopic ever occurs that early. It's too early for me to even take an hpt as my period is not expected for about 5 more days. Should I go to the doctor immediatley or am I ok to wait another week for my period or to test? I don't want to risk my tube rupturing and I was rushed into emergency surgery with my previous ectopic. I would like the option of trying methotrexate if possible this time. Thanks again, Allison
