Penicillin/Bactrim/OCP's

I keep hearing conflicting information about antibiotics interfering with the pill. I was on Penicillin V at the beginning of December, and Bactrim last week. I've been on combined OCP's for several months now, but have switched back and forth between Ortho-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen.

Is there any risk that the antibiotics will screw up my pills? The doctor didn't say anything about it either time, the Penicillin V bottle had a "consult your doctor" label on it, there was nothing on the bactrim. But I have girlfriends (nurses nonetheless) telling me the antibiotics make BCP's ineffective.

Last I heard, there were only a couple antibiotics that had any evidence supporting that they interfere with the efficacy of oral contraceptives. What's the general opinion nowadays? Do you actually see pregnancies resulting from antibiotics taken with BCP's?
