Just as another of your readers, I too have had a regrowth of my left ovary. I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral oopherectomy 7 years ago. 2 years ago, I was having alot of pain in my left side and revisited my gynecologist. I was told then that my left ovary had regrown. I underwent yet another surgery to remove this ovary. I am now having the same pains and upon visiting my gynecologist once again, they have concluded that it has, to my surprise, regrown again.

Is there a medical term for this? Is this rare and can anything be done to stop a reoccurance? I have been operated on several times and frankly, do not ever want to go through this again.

Your prompt attention to this would be greatly appreciated.
