??? about BCP and high blood pressure

My ob/gyn is going through the motions with my primary physician's medical group to get my hysterectomy approved. He has my medical history and knows that I have slightly high blood pressure. At last appointment it was 150/90 and I have been on Tenormin for the past year for it. And I also have MVP, which probably is the reason for the blood pressure being elevated.

My question is this, since I do have MVP and elevated blood pressure, should my doctor put me on the BCP to try to eleviate the problems? I personally don't think that they will work, they didn't work the last time.

I saw the orthopedic surgeon I was referred to, took in my MRI and X-ray films, and he said that the pain in my pelvis, which only shows up during my period, has nothing to do with my pelvic bone or my spine or hip. He said I should keep seeing my ob/gyn because it could either be endometriosis or adenomyosis.

Please advise
