The potential list is extensive - antibiotics, tight pants or pantyhose, stress, too much sex, douching, diabetes, birth control pills, etc.

They both affect the vagina. Bacteria sometimes has an odor that yeast won't.

Unlikely (long term) but during the infection, it may reduce fertility.

Shoulldn't.

As above, the pill, in some, may promote yeast.
