Melanie,
I have been having problems for about 9 months since I stopped
breastfeeding. Anxiety, irritabiliy, insomnia, feeling wound up and
restless - but just for the two weeks before my period. I have seen my
physician, my gynecologist, and even a psychiatrist. I tried their many
suggestions without getting complete relief of all my symptoms. The
best thing I have found is using over-the-counter progesterone cream for
those two weeks. The kind I found locally is made and sold by Vitamin
World. I would give it a try before you sink lots of $$ into doctors
who tell you it's "just your hormones" but aren't able to help you with
them. Good luck to you.
