The goal of marsupialization is to open the cyst and allow it to heal in, from the inside out, so that it doesn't seal over and cause a recurrence of the cyst. This naturally takes a little more time than simply healing an incision. The tissue in that area heals rapidly though. I would estimate that the lesion will heal in a 2-3 week period. Intercourse will be possible when you feel that it is. My guess is that you will know when it is time... Lynn
