Weird symptoms after yearly examFrom: Anna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 12 Nov 2000 21:29:51 -0600 (CST)
I saw my OB/GYN for my first yearly visit after my right ovary removal in June (endo). She did a pelvic, pap smear, and because I'm spotting all the time, changed my BCP from Ortho/Novum 1/35 to Low-Ogestrel-28 which I started that night. For the next 3 days, I had really bad pelvic pain, like when my endo was on my ovary. What's weird is that I started having a period the next morning. It's really heavy, not just spotting. I've been taking BCP 1/35 back-to-back and haven't had a real period in almost a year. Why did this period come this quickly after the exam/switching pills? Is this anything to tell my doctor about or is it just something that is normal? Thanks for any replies, I'm just kinda freaked out because it's been so long since I've had a period.
