Three years ago I had an abortion because for 7 out of the 11 weeks I was pregnant I bled very heavily with very large clotting. The doctors did blood tests and internal exams and told me that at that time everything was still ok but that bleeding like that was quite signifigantly increasing my chance of miscarrying later in the pregnancy. I didnt think id beable to deal with that once i started to feel the baby move and what not. At the time I was only 19 and the only people I told was my mom and my boyfriend, now im engaged to that same guy and somehow his family found out and they totally hate me for it. They have told me that everything that doctor told me about it being likely for me to miscarry or have a number of other problems later in the pregnancy isnt true and it as stupid of me to believe it when he couldnt have known for sure and that now I am just using that as an excuse so I don't look bad. Even though it really doesnt matter now I am still curious, is it true that that sort of bleeding would likely cause either of those things(I know no one knows for sure)? And does having that happen in one pregnancy mean that i'll have problems in other pregnancies? I'm sorry if this offends anyone its just that since they've started talking down to be about it all i've really started to wonder about this stuff and I don't really know who else to ask! Thanks so much!
