Reply: anonymous@obgyn.net: "Re: Strep B - CLARIFICATION !!" Dear Dr's Thanks for the info. My Dr. is treating me for Strep B w/ampicillin because I have a heavy green mucousy vaginal discharge. I have had several cultures - the one before this one was negative for Strep B and this last one (a week ago) came back w/Strep B. I do not have any STD's or other vaginal infection except Strep B....this is very confusing to me. This is the 3rd dose of Ampicillin I am on - the first was a few months ago - then he had me on ampicillin vaginal suppositories - I still have the green discharge. Can being on BCP continuesly change the color/texture of your discharge? Please help.
