timing of pill taking

right now i try to take my birth control pill between 7:30 and 8:15 in the morning. I read on a monograph on Onhealth.com, that you should take each pill no more than 24 hours after the last. Because I just started alesse, is it even more important with this low dose pill that you take it at exactly the same time? I was under the impression that taking the pill 1hr-3 hrs late was not a big cause for concern.

I was also considering taking my pill at night, instead of in the morning. If I wanted to make this switch, should I take one in the evening on the same day I take the last "morning" pill, (is that too much hormones for my system)? or should I wait and take it the next night (ie. 36 hours later).

also, less estrogen should supposedly mean less headaches, less bloating, less depression and less mood swings, correct?

Thanks!
