There is a risk of recurrence of an ectopic after a previous one, but a
lot has to do to the initial causes. Certainly an HSG (dye test) can
evaluate the patency of teh tubes. BC pills actually would prevent
pregnancy completely, so by that virtue, would reduce the risk of
ectopic. I am not aware of anything in particular that will greatly
reduce recurrence.
