Re: Pregnancy problems?From: geo_gal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jul 2000 13:42:05 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Carol, Your hCG values should double every 2-3 days, and it appears they are from what you posted. Also, according to most hCG charts I have seen, your levels are appropriate for your gestational age.
>However, when I went for an ultrasound on July 28th I would really try and think positive-especially in light of your valid hCG results. Two weeks from now they may indeed detect a heartbeat, but the baby needs that time to grow.
>Given my HCG levels should I still be concerned, or was this just too Possibly, but talk to your doctor about what might be happening. Did they do a regular abdominal ultrasound or a transvaginal ultrasound? They may have been able to detect a heartbeat with transvaginal US, but, it is my understanding that it might be a little early for the abdominal US to detect a heartbeat. Lisa
