The Keeper for my daughter?

I'm 31, the proud mother of an 8 year old girl, and for the past four years, a very satisfied user of The Keeper (http://www.keeper.com/).

I'm getting ready to talk to my daughter about menstruation (I started just after I turned 9), and I was wondering at what age she could start using The Keeper.

I know she could use tampons at any age, but this is much larger -- 1 5/8 inches at the widest. My concern is not that she might stretch (or even tear) her hymen; rather, is there any reason other than comfort for her not to use The Keeper right from her first period.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.
