Some questions about current symptoms

Hello everyone!!

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful weekend. I wish that I could say that I did but I didn't. The reason for why is b/c of my vulvodynia acting up big time.

Since getting rid of a bacterial infection 3 weeks ago I've gotten some new symptoms affecting my vulvodynia.

They are: 1. painful urination (started early Fri a.m.) 2. rectal pain (started when I got the bacterial infection)

Since I've had both of these problems I have discovered that when I have to go to the bathroom (doesn't matter which one it is) I end up having the pain in my vulvar area get worse. Then by the time that I do get the intense from going to the bathroom under control it is time for me to go to the bathroom again.

My question now is this: Could having hemorrhoids and a UTI at the same time possibly be what's making my vulvar pain worse?

Is there anything that I should be asking my dr for specifically whenever I talk to them about going back in?

I've had hemorrhoids in the past, but that was long before I had surgery on my left labia minora to remove the excess skin that was causing me so much discomfort 3 years ago.

Experiencing UTIs are very new to me and have only happened since finding out that I have vulvodynia.

This whole thing just makes me want to scream. It's bad enough when the pain from the vulvodynia itself gets out of control b/c of the infections as they come about, but to have these problems come and then stay instead of going away is driving me batty.

I will write back as soon as I find out more from my dr as to what we need to do next.

Thanks again to all of you wonderful drs and nurses for your time in answering our many questions that come thru on a daily basis.

Please take care,

Kristy :)
