During delivery her placenta only partially separated. She lost 40% of her blood and the doctors feared she would not survive. She did, but over the following two weeks she had to be rushed to the hospital twice for emergency transfusions due to massive hemorrhaging. Since this time she can not eat anything but crackers and tea. Everything else she throws up. If she does not eat then she has dry heaves. Since January she has lost 100 pounds and is now extremely weak. Her doctor dismissed it as the flu for the first month and a half, but then admitted he did not know what was wrong with her. She has been to numerous specialists, but the closest anyone has come to figuring out what is wrong with her was a doctor who said she had the classic symptoms for adrenal gland failure but the test came back negative. We even tried to get her into the Mayo clinic but were told that they could get her in on an emergency basis in eight weeks. She does not have eight weeks. Has anyone heard of this before???
