Dr. Hill -- First of all, congrats on your new arrival. The pictures of your son are beautiful. Did your wife have a c-section (looks like it in one of the photos)?

Second, thanks for your wonderful diplomatic response to this latest post. I was a little overwhelmed by the aggressiveness of comments and unable to compose a rational, constructive response. You really hit the nail on the head summarizing the essence of my concerns.

I certainly did not intend to fuel a midwife vs. physician type debate on this forum. I sincerely apologize if my original post offended any of the midwives that participate on this forum. I was not questioning the competence of midwives in general.
