negative qualitative blood testFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Jun 2000 13:34:03 -0500 (CDT)
Hello I am very confused and was wondering if you could help me out a little. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 months now and 3 mo ago I had a miscarriage. This mo. my period is 4 days late so I took a HPT and it came back positive. I then went to the dr. and they did a qualitative blood test. This came back negative. I have heard that I might be pregnant and it is just to soon to find out. Is it true that the blood test may have just been taken too early? Should I go back to the dr. and take a quantitative blood test? I heard that this is a more in depth test and can tell you a little more. Anyone with any comments please let me know or email me...lovurgirl@aol.com. Thank you sooo much...Amy
