i was at a website (http://www.planetrx.com) in the drug interactions section. I was checking my bcps (Loestrin 1/20) with a couple of things, and one of the things that came up was this. "Serum estrogen concentrations may be increased in patients who consume grapefruit juice. The mechanism appears to be inhibition of estrogen metabolism (via CYP 3A4). Consider advising the patient to avoid grapefruit juice until long-term studies confirm or refute the clinical relevance of this interaction." has anyone heard this before? what does it mean? i was just wondering because i drink grapefruit juice a lot and was wondering if i should worry about it. thanks.
