Lisa, Your basal temperature during the first half of your cycle may differ from others, but that doesn't matter. You should begin taking your temp starting on day one of your cycle (first day of bleeding). Around ovulation your temp should drop, followed by an approximate one degree rise of the temp above the baseline noted during the first half of your cycle. That drop, followed by a rise points to ovulation... Lynn
