Dear N/A You poor girl! The emotional stress this is causing you can't be good for your health either. The lump you described may just be a swollen lymph node(s), as they are responsible for white blood cell production, and play a very large role in the immune system response. If you did in fact have a yeast infection that went untreated, your lymph nodes would have been working overtime trying to get rid of it for you. You have lymph nodes at various sites on your body, and it's not unusual for them to become swollen after fighting off an infection. There are 2 located at the bottom of the torso, ie the pubic area. I have had swollen lymph nodes a couple of times, after yeast infections that I didn't deal with immediatley. They don't hurt but they're freaky because they are so hard and large. It's just filled with expired white blood cells and puss and stuff. They are in the hair covered area between the top of the leg and the vaginal opening, known as the labia majora (or something like that)I poked at mine with a steryl needle and drained it some, but it didn't shrink it much. It did eventually shrink on it's own, but it was there for a long time. Like...8 months or something. Maybe it's still there. Havn't checked lately. It's not the size of a pot roast anymore, and that's all I need to know. The thing is, as hard as your immune system tries, I don't think it can completely rid your body of a yeast infection. It may be able to keep it at bay intermittantly, but whenever your body is under any kind of stress, it will rear it's ugly head again. And yes, I have heard of it causing an exzema looking rash on the tops the the thighs. You should invest in a really good medical encyclopedia. And you should tell your fears take a flying leap because this is important stuff and you, at the very least need antibiotics. Take care. Good luck. GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!! (please?)
