Post hyst and piece of uterus left....

I just saw my doc and had an ultrasound done to investigate cyclic bleeding after supracervical hysterectomy. Well I come to find out that a piece of the uterine lining was left during surgery and not cut out. A small piece but some all the same. Well my doc says not to worry about it and just deal with the monthly bleeding. Well I really don't know what to do about this. So hear I am looking for some opinions. Should I seek a second opinion? Is there anything that can be done outside of surgery to have this removed? Will it pose any type of complication in the future having a piece left in me? My soc said that the only way he could remove it would be through an abdominal incision and because I just underwent the surgery 5 months ago he doesn't want to subject my body to this again so soon. Must I have surgery done. I really don't want a period every month, it's bad enough I had to have the hyst in the first place since I am only 23y/o now I will have that constant reminder every month how I lost my uterus. What can I do about this if anything at all?
