Nope, she said GP.... but that's what I suggested: " You should see the gynecologist and perhaps have a culture taken to check for any bacteria or yeast."

I thought about that, but figured the GYN would suggest that if he/she felt she needs additional consultation. I remember when I was looking for a doctor to help me with my (still) unexplained lymph nodes and fevers - I got recommendations from people to see doctors in specialities ranging from internal medicine to endocrinology to oncology...it got a little confusing and I was really unsure of who to go to first, my PCP wasn't much help. So....I try to just narrow it down to the most likely specialty, or one that she may use anyway (ie, I presume she's over 18 and has been going for her regular smears and exams...unless of course her GP does it)....so that's why I didnt add the dermatologist, anyway. :-)
