Tri-Norinyl has been around for at least 10-15 years. It consists of Ethinyl Estradiol and Norethindrone acetate just like many of the other pills. What is diferent about it from others is that the diferent pills in it contain slightly diferent concentrations of the estrogen and progestagen. High estrogen and low progestagen early, then higher estrogen and low progestagen, and then at the the end higher levels of both. Joint pains and swelling have not been previously reported as side effects of EE and Norethindrone according to the PDR. Just about everything else on earth has.
