Abdominal pain and bleedingFrom: Ginnie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 May 2000 11:44:08 -0500 (CDT)
I am 45 years old with high FSH levels...told I'm menopausal. I didn't have a period for 6 months and then had heavy bleeding that has lasted over 40 days. I had a transvaginal ultrasound several weeks ago that revealed a 2cm cyst and a 'mass.' I am now scheduled for a sonohystogram. Two weeks ago a pain began in my lower right abdomen which was quite severe. I went to ER and the doctor there said he thought 'something was going on in my back.' The pain subsided but has continued the past 10 days as either severe grabbing pain or just a constant ache. I am very bloated as well...something that has bothered me for the past few years off and on. The bloating now is constant and I have trouble digesting anything I eat. My tests are scheduled for 5/9 and now I am worried that something serious could be going on. I am just dealing with my GP and I have a call into him today. Should I insist on seeing a GYN? Should I be worried about all these symptoms? Thank you!!
