Kari Great questions. The most possible explanation is that this was a false positive test, esp if it was not a formal culture, but a dna probe. To answer the second part of the question, it is possible to have obtained it in the distant past and not have had terrible damage to your pelvic organs. I do not have a definitive answer to your problem, but perhaps ask your MD to perform a formal chlamydia culture on you. Good Luck
