It is dark red, but otherwise has all the qualities of fertile cervical fluid (very slippery and stretchy). It comes out at all once like a thick thread (on the toilet) and seems to constitute a good 1/8 of a cup or so. I read that this sort of mucous is related to high estrogen level just before ovulation. Yet, I am not getting this fluid then (when I need it), only during my period. Is this normal during one's period? Are my hormones out of whack mid-cycle? Next message: R.
