by definition, if you are postmenopausal this cyst is NOT a follicular cyst and your ovaires are NOT functioning. It may still be benign and of no consequence, however, if it is small, stable and if your CA125 is not elevated. Now that we do so many ultrasounds, we are laearing that postmenopausal women may have small cysts on their ovaries that are not worrisome.
