premature menopause

I'm 35, had a hysty at 33, still have ovaries. I think I may be in menopause or perimenopause. How could I tell for sure? I've been told that something like 30% of women have premature ovarian failure within 5 years of a hysty. How accurate is this information? If I am going into menopause what does this mean for my health? Heart disease, osteoporosis, etc.? Does this imply a shortened life expectancy?
