How long the stitches last will depend on the suture material. Your tissues will be 85-90% healed within two weeks. Baths won't hurt the stitches. Prolonged soaking for hours on end may delay healing but just washing or sitting in a tub for 10 minutes once a day is no problem. In fact, we frequently recommend hot sitz baths to help promote healing.
