Could I have PCOS?

I am a 23-year-old mother with a two-year-old daughter. For the past eight months I have been experiencing problems with extremely irregular periods, fatigue, extreme achiness, hypoglycemia, and the inability to lose weight. I realize that these symptoms are common with PCOS. I have been to a clinic about my symptoms and the doctor told me to "just lose the weight" and your symptoms wil subside. I eat very well and exercise at least five times a week, but the weight will not come off. I haven't been back to that doctor and I don't have health insurance. Could my symptoms be due to PCOS rather than the weight? Could an onset of PCOS occur even after I had a very successful pregnancy? Any opinions or advice would be greatly apprecieated.
